Information about the Desire S
The Desire S is the natural successor to the popular HTC , but in terms of 'body' much like the HTC Legend . The Desire S is compared to its predecessor has improved significantly, but these improvements may not be called earth-shattering. Most striking: Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1 GHz processor and the other button layout underneath the unit.

Powerful: 1 GHz processor + 786 MB RAM
By placing a 1 GHz Scorpion processor in the Desire S force ensured. It is not a dual-core processor, as many competing devices do, but Android 2.3 Gingerbread works great with a very powerful single-core like this. Moreover, the present Adreno 205-GPU graphics performance of high-level guaranteed. The working memory with 786 MB RAM also very well represented.

Design: unibody, buckling and touchscreen
In terms of design builds the unit continues the same technique that was used in the HTC Legend. The HTC is also a complete piece aluminum built, also called aluminum unibody. As a result, the unit was no battery cover on the back. At the bottom is a place for things like the battery and the SD card (up to 32 GB).

Another change from the Desire is the kink at the bottom of the unit that, among other things to ensure that the appliance may fall on the screen. Also new are the four buttons in a row and omitting the optical trackpad. The touchscreen is a super large 3.7 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

Other properties
The Desire S has two cameras. The 5 megapixel camera has auto focus and LED flash and can videos in HD quality recording. On the front there is a lesser camera, designed for video calling. It also supports the Desire S HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS. With the MP3 player and the existing apps is the Desire S, as a true smartphone, of course, a multimedia beast. This can be further extended and customized by a stroll through the Android Market, where more than 100,000 applications are available.

The Desire S is not fundamentally different than the Desire, but clearly a lot better. The unit gains strength and of course there is also considerable tinkering with the details. An attractive, high!
